Job summary
AFL manufactures industry-leading fiber optic cable, connectivity and accessories and provides engineering and installation services for telecom customers. The Tactical Operations Lead coordinates material flow, supports setup/startup, and improves efficiency to meet delivery KPIs.
A safety-first mindset and 6S adherence are required. High School Diploma or GED, plus 2+ years in manufacturing, Oracle/QTS/ETQ familiarity, and strong communication skills are essential for success in this role on
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required for consideration.
- Practical understanding of EHS and quality systems is preferred.
- Experience with Oracle, QTS and ETQ systems is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Access, Word, Excel) is expected.
- Commitment to 6S and safety standards on the production floor.
Responsibilities
- Schedule compliance and material flow to meet production schedules.
- Assist with setup/startup and resolve downtime to improve KPIs.
- Monitor and improve line efficiency; support break coverage and quality checks.
- Ensure proper staging of materials and tooling for next runs.
