Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking to enhance our manufacturing operations with a role focused on staffing lines, coaching teams in lean practices, and driving operational excellence. You will apply JDI, 9Step, and A-3 problem solving while ensuring safety and quality standards.

The position requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and on-site work 5 days a week. We value proactive, positive change agents who can lead by example.

Qualifications

  • Experience in lean manufacturing or production environments.
  • Ability to train and coach team members in lean tools.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and manage designated departments/lines.
  • Coach employees in lean tools and activities (5S, problem solving).
  • Run MDI boards to standard and adjust manpower as needed.
  • Support quality goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Follow standard work and maintain production/maintenance records.

What\'s In It For You

Responsible for assisting with managing the manpower needs in the department, training and developing team member(s), and deploying operational excellence tools. .

What You Will Do
  • chedule and manage designated departments/lines.
  • Use and support and coach employees to all lean tools and activities, including:
  • Back to Basics – Lean, problem solving
  • JDI, 9Step, and A-3’s.
  • Run MDI boards to the standard.
  • Adjust manpower as needed.
  • Assist, Coach, and Train employees as needed.
  • Encourage /coach employees to live Trane Technologies Principals.
  • Be a change agent. Demonstrate positive and proactive attitude.
  • Will be required to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Follow work instructions in positive manner from Supervisors and peers.
  • Must be able to follow standard work, complete production and maintenance records and other documentation related to operations.
  • Must participate in basic problem solving, 5-S, and lean activities.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to perform the above duties with no additional training required.
  • Supports the QMS by delivering quality products and services and meeting quality objectives
  • Works to consistently meet and exceed customer requirements
  • Continuously strives for operational excellence and continuous improvement
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
What You Will Bring
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
  • Stand for most of a normal workday.
  • May need to be on your feet for extended periods around the facility.
  • Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to reach with hand and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, as required to work with equipment.
  • Work safely in all areas of responsibility.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal company and external associates, both written and orally. Mobility within the work facility.
