Job summary

TreeHouse Foods is hiring a Machine Operator A-1 to operate and support high-speed tea bag manufacturing and packaging equipment, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. You will set up packaging lines, perform quality checks, verify coding, and inspect materials, while maintaining a clean, organized work area on the 2nd shift.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and manufacturing experience, with the flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Previous manufacturing, packaging, production, or machine operation experience.
• Ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Experience performing quality inspections and identifying product or packaging defects.
• Ability to follow work instructions, SOPs, and quality requirements.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including overtime and weekends as needed.
• Food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery and packaging equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with setup of packaging lines, including coders, tape machines, and related equipment.
• Perform quality checks and material releases according to procedures and training.
• Verify coding and labeling accuracy and readability to meet customer requirements.
• Inspect tea bags, cartons, envelopes, overwrap, and packaging materials for defects.
• Identify and report defects such as incorrect gluing or carton damage.
• Complete rework and re-boxing as directed by Line Lead/Manager.
• Ensure finished products meet customer specs and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Work in a fast-paced setting and adapt to changing production needs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
