Job summary

Forgent Power Solutions, Inc. in Champlin, MN seeks an Electrical Assembler to install and terminate wiring on complex electrical systems, following diagrams for low and medium voltage applications.

You will read BOMs and assembly drawings, cut and terminate wires, and wire control panels. You will collaborate with shop staff to promote quality and lean manufacturing, while presenting a professional image in all communications.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret wiring diagrams, BOMs, and assembly drawings.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for team collaboration.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Wire various control panel products.

Install and terminate wiring onto newly assembled complex electrical systems. You will ensure wiring is run in a professional and organized manner that meets requirement of wiring diagrams and schematics. Wiring will be performed on low and medium voltage systems. Installation of electrical components per assembly drawing.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Wire various control panel products
• Install electrical components
• Interprets electrical schematics/diagrams
• Cut, strip, crimp and wire various AWG gages per print with high degree of accuracy.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with shop employees to promote feedback to drive product improvement.
• Projects a positive, professional image of the company in all communications with customers, vendors and suppliers.
• Make recommendations to management on manufacturing processes to promote lean manufacturing.
• Assists in other areas of manufacturing as needed

Required Skills

• Technical knowledge and ability to read various engineering and manufacturing documents including Bill of Materials, assembly drawings, assembly instructions, wiring schematics and diagrams.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition
• Ability to work in a team environment to accomplish daily tasks.

Additional Skills

• Proven experience in wiring electrical components and systems
• Technical knowledge and ability to read various engineering and manufacturing documents including Bill of Materials, assembly drawings, assembly instructions, wiring schematics and diagrams.
