Job summary

ABB in Mebane, NC is hiring an Assembly Worker to produce semi-finished or final products on the production line. You will read technical diagrams and follow assembly instructions.

You will use hand tools and light machinery on the shop floor, conduct quality checks, and keep the work area clean and organized. A high school diploma and up to 1 year of manufacturing experience are preferred; must be able to lift 40 lbs and have US work authorization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Knowledge and use of tools - tape measure, calipers, grinders, or other hand tools, as needed.
• Ability to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed.
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40lbs.
• Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products.
• Read and interpret the technical diagrams/instructions for assembly of products/systems/panels.
• Performing work manually or by using light hand tools.
• Will use machinery and equipment on the shop floor.
• Carrying out regular quality testing as part of a defined production process.
• Operating within standard operating procedures and maintaining a clean work area.
