Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division in Sumter, SC seeks a Switchboard Quality Inspector on 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 2:00 pm–12:00 am). You will verify wiring, components, and conduct electrical testing of switchboard products to ensure quality and timely order fulfillment.

Responsibilities include Hi-Pot and continuity testing, torque verification, and thorough documentation. A high school diploma and 2 years of manufacturing experience are required, with opportunity for incentive-based compensation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Associates degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or Electronics.
• Two years of manufacturing experience and ability to read manufacturing documents.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and Hi-Pot switchboard products to confirm proper function and identify non-conformances.
• Perform electrical testing (Hi-Pot, continuity) and torque verification on connections.
• Document inspections, update paperwork (POM, test reports) and communicate non-conformances.
• Verify revisions are incorporated and ensure documentation reflects current revision.
• Work on a fast-paced environment with high accountability and safety compliance.
