Job summary

RS EDEN in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a Support Specialist (Reentry Support Services) for full-time and on-call roles. The position focuses on directly supervising resident actions, ensuring adherence to program rules, and serving as a liaison with case management staff.

The role also supports nonresidential clients when needed. Pay ranges from $20-$22 per hour with a $2 shift differential for overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in human services or related field
• Experience in substance use treatment, criminal justice, or related field is preferred
• Clear and professional communication skills, including both oral and written
• Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds with multiple barriers to success
• Leadership skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Positive, professional, person-centered approach to client care

Responsibilities

• Monitor house activities and supervise resident actions and movements to ensure program rules are followed
• Handle discipline for program residents as needed
• Maintain security, safety, and sanitation according to policy and laws
• Conduct intakes for new residents and orient them to facility and rules
• Maintain daily logs, incident reports, and confidential client information
• Perform searches of facility and residents as scheduled
• Provide guidance and liaison between clients and case managers
• Collect urinalysis samples and conduct breath analysis as assigned
