Moore-United Presort Tulsa is seeking a hands-on 2nd Shift Supervisor to lead daily production operations on the Tulsa floor, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

You will supervise about 25 employees, coordinate workflows, monitor production goals, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining compliance with USPS regulations and safety rules. This role requires strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication on a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Experience supervising a production or mailing/industrial floor is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Holds quality control meetings throughout the year to inform employees of quality issues and new procedures.
  • Monitors quality of work during the production process.
  • Schedules daily workflow to meet customer expectations.
  • Keeps customer work queue updated daily.
  • Monitors daily production of all employees.
  • Schedules overtime when necessary.
  • Ensures adequate parts and supplies are available.
  • Holds training classes and cross-trains employees.
  • Follows training plans and completes documentation.
  • Keeps employees abreast on USPS mailing regulations.
  • Checks production records for accuracy.
  • Keeps logs up to date for all employees.
  • Keeps daily production schedules updated.
  • Checks time sheets and adjusts accordingly.
  • Enforces safety rules and maintains a neat work area.
  • Reports injuries and completes workers' compensation paperwork.
  • Conducts quarterly safety training meetings.
  • Coordinates with maintenance to keep machines in order.
  • Troubleshoots and maintains equipment as needed.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Job description

We are seeking a hands-on, dependable 2ndShift Supervisor to lead daily production operations and ensure the shift runs safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing/production environment and is comfortable leading employees, solving problems, and being actively involved on the production floor.

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for providing day-to-day leadership to assigned employees, coordinating workflow, monitoring production goals, and ensuring quality and safety expectations are consistently met.

Job Summary:

Directs all aspects of the production for the shift. Responsible for the overall production and efficiency of the shift.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Directly supervises approximately 25 employees in the Department
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
  • Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Holds quality control meetings throughout the work year to keep employees informed of quality issues and any new procedures
  • Monitors quality of work throughout the job process

  • Conducts quarterly meetings on safety training
  • Coordinates with maintenance to keep machines in optimal working order
  • Troubleshoots and maintains equipment when necessary
  • Performs other duties as required

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Forklift experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to walk and reach with hands and arms
  • Frequently required to stand and talk or hear
  • Occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision
  • Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is constant and moderately loud

Must be authorized to work in the United States and successfully pass a comprehensive criminal background investigation.
