Job summary

Monogram Foods is seeking a Quality Assurance Sanitation Supervisor to lead QA and sanitation teams in a plant setting. The role ensures SQF, HACCP, and GMP adherence, while training staff and maintaining detailed documentation.

The incumbent will review inspections, non-conformances, and customer complaints, coordinating with Purchasing to resolve ingredient discrepancies and drive corrective actions. Strong MS Office skills and PCQI/HACCP certification are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related discipline preferred.
• 2-5 years of QA experience in food production.
• PCQI and HACCP certified.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Supervise QA and sanitation staff to ensure compliance with SQF, HACCP, QMS, SOP, and GMP.
• Document, train, and monitor training completion.
• Review pre-operation inspections and daily logs.

The Quality Assurance Sanitation Supervisor is an essential position in accomplishing this goal. The Quality Assurance Sanitation Supervisor supports the QA and Sanitation team members in monitoring the successful implantation and daily execution of plant policies and procedures.• Supervises personnel assigned to specific duties relating to the adherence of the quality programs. These programs include: Safety Quality Food Certification (SQF), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), Quality Management System (QMS), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Micro lab procedures.• Documents, trains, and monitors that employees have applied new training.• Ensure a good follow-up of non-conformities.• Participate in daily plant walk-throughs.• Review and sign off on daily pre-operation inspection. This includes inspection of belts, tools, and verification log and sanitation.• Review daily pallet tickets and file with the QA documentation on designated production lines.• Review employee paperwork making sure it is free of errors and mistakes.• Perform regular quality checks on mixing procedures, codes, cooler-freezer temperatures, footbaths, and conduct appropriate follow-up with employees involved in these procedures.• Perform an ingredient check in, and work with the Purchasing department to get discrepancies resolved.• Monitor damaged ingredients and prepare non-conformance documentation and make recommendation for disposal and/or repair.• Conduct HACCP pre-shipment inspection.• Assist with customer complaints, collect and organize all paperwork for review to initiate a corrective action• Other duties and projects assigned by manager• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related discipline preferred.• 2-5 Years of QA experience with a preference for food production• Strong field knowledge of current software and process technology.• Proficient in MS Office applications such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word. Proficient in basic computer software, such as spreadsheets, project tools, word documents and presentation programs.• Excellent verbal, technical written and interpersonal communication skills. An ability to break down highly technical discussion into understandable concepts for non-technical colleagues.• Must be PCQI and HACCP Certified.• Must be 18 years or older.Physical Demands:• Climb small ladders or platforms.• Use small hand tools for assembly of equipment.• Ability to tolerate humid, cool, hot, or wet working environments where applicable.• Wear appropriate PPE- frock, gloves, earplugs, slip-resistant boots, must be able to wash and sanitize hands to meet GMP Standards.• Strong self-confidence, versatile and flexible with willingness to work in a dynamic environment, adjusting to priorities with enthusiasm, intelligence, drive, innovation, commitment and integrity are all important characteristics.• Strong leadership ability and able to coach and mentor Quality Technicians.• Physical and mental ability to work in excess of 40 hours per week while helping create and work towards a Quality vision.Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment:• Works in a plant and in a general office environment.• Will be required to wear suitable Personal Protective Equipment.• May be exposed to the loud noise of plant machinery.• May be exposed to extreme temperatures, wet humid conditions, and inclement weather.• May be exposed to oils and airborne particles.• May be required to work near moving mechanical parts
