Job summary

Evapco in Madera, CA is seeking a 2nd Shift Sub Assembly Machinist to fabricate parts and sub-assemblies for final unit assemblies across product lines. You will use drawings and documentation to ensure correct dimensions and tolerances, while providing technician support for the department.

The role requires 3+ years in machining, HS diploma or GED, and familiarity with calipers, micrometers, hand tools, and CNC concepts. Overtime and shift work are typical.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years in machining environment.
• Experience reading drawings and BOMs.
• Ability to use calipers and micrometers for measurements.
• Understanding of metals and material properties.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings to understand fabrication and tolerances.
• Plan machining sequence and tooling per project.
• Create and troubleshoot lathe/mill programs and settings.
• Set up and change tooling as required.
• Perform quality checks to ensure parts meet specs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area daily.
• Assist in other department tasks as needed.
