Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled storeroom associate for our manufacturing operations in the U.S. The role handles inventory control, receiving, and material movements in SAP, with forklift/crane operations and strict adherence to 5S standards. You will verify shipments, sustain accurate records, and participate in Kaizen activities to improve processes.

The position is full-time, onsite, with hourly pay around $28.73 and a benefits package. OSHA safety compliance and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of drawings and assembly techniques used in manufacturing.
• Operate hand or power vehicles and overhead crane as required.
• Maintain and pass certificate to operate material handling equipment.
• Maintain 5S standards and a clean, safe work area.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize work and determine methods within established system.
• Operate storeroom and fill requisitions; assign stock locations.
• Evaluate workload and report to supervisor.
• Count and verify material received; log inventory.
• Detect defective material and report shortages.
• Record material handling activities in SAP or similar system.
• Receive, unload, and move shipments; maintain records.
• Compare quantities with packing lists and orders.
• Open containers for packing lists and inspection.
• Verify shipments against bills of lading and invoices.
• Must understand drawings and assembly techniques of products.
• Operate material handling equipment and pass certification.
• Maintain time, quality, quantity records and clean area.
• Participate in Kaizen, 5S, and problem solving teams.
• Follow all safety policies.
