Job summary

Canam Steel Corporation is seeking self-motivated, safety-conscious individuals for our Washington, MO production team. The role offers a 2nd shift 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM with overtime and potential weekends, plus a path to $66K total compensation in a 50-hour week.

Responsibilities include setting up and operating machines to form steel components, tack welding, reading shop drawings, and handling parts with measuring tools. Training on 1st shift is required.

Qualifications

• Must read, understand and use shop paperwork and drawings to set up machines accurately.
• Must use measuring devices such as tape measure, micrometer, calipers.
• Ability to operate overhead cranes or similar equipment to move materials.
• May perform welding to assemble components as part of fabrication.
• Must be able to lift and maneuver heavy parts repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machines to cut, stamp, bend, or form steel components.
• Tack weld steel parts to fabricate finished products on a fast-paced line.
• Learn to tack weld and perform welding tasks as needed.
• Support other duties on the production line as assigned.
• Be willing to start on 1st shift (6:00 AM) with OT and some weekends.
