Job summary

Trinidad Benham, based in LaGrange, Georgia, is seeking a Packaging Operator to set up and run the line, produce products to spec, and troubleshoot line issues. The role emphasizes maintaining machine systems, quality control, and line cleanliness in a GMP environment.

Responsibilities include checking orders, loading materials, thread-up setup, hourly quality checks, jam resolution, and assisting maintenance with more complex problems.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Ability to set up and operate the line to meet quality specs.
• Maintain GMP standards and keep the line clean and organized.

Responsibilities

• Check the order sheet to determine run specifications.
• Load the core hopper with cores.
• Set up and complete initial thread up of machine.
• Perform quality checks at least hourly.
• Monitor process and correct jams or problems.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of line per GMP.
• Troubleshoot minor quality/machine issues; escalate complex ones.

• Set up and operate the line in order to produce product that meets quality specifications, Maintain the machine systems, make necessary adjustments, and troubleshoot common machine/quality problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Check the order sheet to determine order to run and specifications for that order. (Ensure that the right material is being used)


• Load the core hopper with cores.


• Set up and complete initial thread up of machine.


• Perform Quality Check at least once each hour.


• Monitor process, correct jams and other problems that occur.


• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of line to GMP standards by removing cartons and other trash, removing dust and debris, etc.


• Troubleshoot minor quality and machine problems; communicate more complex problems to maintenance.


• Roll Prep


• Able to remove and replace mandrels.


• Any other duties as requested or required.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Fully Qualified:


• Level IV


• Operates assigned Spooler line at 90 % minimum average level of efficiency.


• Able to change core knives correctly.


• Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to stand ten hours (twelve during busy season) and walk up and down steps.
