Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor to join the Renton, WA team. Schedule: Monday–Friday 5:00 pm–1:30 am, with overtime and rotating weekends as needed. Responsibilities include specimen preparation, data entry, and ensuring accurate processing to meet production metrics.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED; 6+ months in medical data entry or specimen processing is preferred. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and work in a team environment is required.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months or more medical office or hospital data entry preferred.
• 6 months or more specimen processing preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Introduce and prepare biological specimens for processing.
• Open specimens and pour off into secondary containers for analysis.
• Verify patient demographics match the test requisition.
• Data entry of patient information into the computer system.
• Meet production metrics and quality measures for timely results.
• Unpack and route specimens to staging areas.
• Pack and ship specimens to testing facilities when required.
• Prepare and store excess specimen samples.
• Resolve and document any problem specimens.
• Handle and dispose of medical and chemical waste.
• Comply with environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
• Operate automated instrumentation under supervision if necessary.
