Job summary

East Side Clinical Laboratory, Inc. in East Providence, RI is seeking a Specimen Processor for the 2nd shift.

You will ensure specimens are properly processed, prepared, routed, and stored, and you will identify when corrective actions are needed to maintain safety and quality in a clinical lab environment. The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and strong reading, writing, and analytical abilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong reading, writing and analytical skills.
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment (phones, computers, centrifuges, alarms).

Responsibilities

• Perform key parts of the patient care process by ensuring specimens are properly processed, prepared, routed, and stored.
• Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement solutions.
• Work in a laboratory environment with biological hazards and PPE requirements.
