Job summary

Celestica Inc. in Maple Grove, MN is seeking an SMT Operator for the 2nd shift. The role involves maintaining solder paste stencils, loading components into pick-and-place equipment, and verifying solder joints against prints.

The position requires basic production experience, ability to read blueprints, and willingness to obtain J-STD and IPC-610 certifications. Training and career development are available.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent, plus one year similar manufacturing experience required.
• Experience in set-up, operation and troubleshooting of SMT and microscope soldering.
• Will be required to pass J-STD & IPC-610 Certification to be qualified.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and aligns solder paste stencils and applies solder paste for even screen printing.
• Replenishes SMT components in pick-and-place machines and verifies positioning, values and polarity.
• Follow process/program documentation from Engineering to ensure correct routing and revisions.
• Monitor floor stock inventory and inform Supervisor when low or expired.
• Train other employees and assist in orientation of new staff.
