Job summary

Great Lakes Cheese is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to ensure maximum operating efficiency and repair of machines in production and facility. You will respond to line issues, maintain equipment, and keep maintenance records while following safety and quality programs.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED and at least two years of maintenance experience, with knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Welding skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two years of maintenance experience or more.
• Fundamental understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and understand schematics, pneumatic and hydraulic drawings.

Responsibilities

• Respond to production requests for immediate attention to line issues.
• Maintain production equipment.
• Maintain records of preventative maintenance.
• Create requisitions of parts and supplies for equipment.
• Identify problem areas and address with permanent solutions.
• Adhere to safety policies & procedures.
• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and Safe Quality Food Program.
• Other duties as assigned by the manager.
