Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is recruiting for Direct Hire Skilled Machine Operator / Production Operator on 2nd shift in the South Lyon/Wixom, MI area. You will support hot mill, draw bench, furnace, and straightening operations in a heavy industrial manufacturing setting.

Training is structured with paid onboarding and clear progression paths into higher-skilled operator roles, maintenance, or technical specialist positions.

Qualifications

• Strong attendance and reliability.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving ability.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately (English ruler tolerances: 1/16 inch).

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor industrial equipment used in steel tube manufacturing.
• Work with processes such as hot mill piercing and forming, draw bench sizing, heat treating, and straightening.
• Read and interpret measurements using standard tape measures (down to 1/16” tolerances).
• Maintain production quality and follow safety procedures.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments to keep production running.
