Job summary

International Paper in Griffin, GA is seeking a Singlefacer Operator. The role involves operating singlefacers to produce high quality output, adjusting machinery, and assisting adjacent operators to maintain throughput. Strong adherence to safety and accurate record-keeping are expected.

Responsibilities

• Operate singlefacers to produce high quality output.
• Adjust medium roll stand and preconditioner settings.
• Adjust liner roll stand and preheater settings.
• Assist the slitter operator to determine optimum run speeds.
• Prepare singleface liner rolls and splicers.
• Prepare down rolls for storage and label them.
• Assist the doublebacker operator.
• Support other corrugator operations when the machine is down.
• Change run sequences to improve throughput without delaying deliveries.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Clean the singlefacers.
• Complete accurate records.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Singlefacer Operator Duties / responsibilities Include

• following all safety rules and procedures;
• operating singlefacers to produce high quality and high quantity output;
• adjusting medium roll stand and preconditioner settings for both singlefacers;
• adjusting liner roll stand and preheater settings for both singlefacers;
• helping the slitter operator determine optimum run speeds;
• preparing singleface liner rolls and splicers;
• preparing down (butt) rolls for storage and identifying these rolls with tags and/or writing;
• helping the doublebacker operator;
• helping on other parts of the corrugator when the machine is down;
• changing order run sequences to improve corrugator throughput without delaying deliveries;
• maintaining clean and organized work areas;
• cleaning the singlefacers;
• completing accurate records; and
• performing other duties as assigned by supervision.
