Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA Inc. in Bland, Virginia, is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Specialist for the 2nd shift (4:00pm–2:30am).

The role ensures timely inbound and outbound shipments, accurate paperwork, and inventory control within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include inspecting incoming materials, preparing shipments with bills of lading, operating forklifts, and maintaining ERP-based inventory records.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse environment.
• Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
• Experience with inventory management systems and basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and document all incoming materials, parts, and products.
• Prepare and process outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and shipping documents.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through data entry into inventory management systems.
• Coordinate with internal departments to facilitate timely material movement.
• Identify discrepancies, damages, or shortages in shipments.
• Maintain a clean, safe shipping/receiving area.
• Communicate with carriers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
