Job summary

Camco Manufacturing in Greensboro, NC seeks a Shipping & Transportation Supervisor to lead daily outbound operations, including shipping, routing, dispatch, and truck loading, ensuring orders are processed and delivered on time. You will supervise forklift operators and the shipping team, drive safety, and optimize load planning.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 3–5+ years in shipping/logistics leadership, with strong knowledge of TMS/WMS (Dynamics 365 preferred)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, or related field preferred or 3–5+ years leadership in shipping/distribution.
• Strong knowledge of shipping, dock operations, truck loading, and transportation processes.
• Experience supervising dock/warehouse teams and transportation office staff.
• Experience with TMS/WMS (Dynamics 365 preferred) and freight documentation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily outbound operations including shipping, staging, truck loading, routing, and dispatch.
• Oversee forklift operators and shipping team to ensure safe, accurate loading of trucks.
• Ensure orders are staged, loaded, and shipped on time to meet customer requirements.
• Coordinate dock activities, shipment schedules, and carrier arrivals/departures.
• Lead and develop team members through coaching, training, and corrective actions.
• Monitor performance, productivity, and safety; address issues promptly.
• Review timecards and payroll-related activities accurately and timely.
• Utilize TMS/WMS systems (D365 preferred) to manage shipments and resolve issues.
• Ensure accuracy of shipping docs (BOLs, packing lists, etc.).
• Optimize load planning, cube utilization, and routing to reduce costs.
• Ensure DOT/OSHA compliance and SOP adherence.
• Partner with warehouse, inventory, customer service, and transportation providers.
• Monitor dock throughput and on-time shipping KPIs; report results to leadership.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce errors and improve service.
