Job summary

Camco Manufacturing in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Shipping/Transportation Supervisor to lead daily outbound operations, including shipping, routing, dispatch, and truck loading. You will supervise forklift operators and dock teams to ensure on-time loading and accurate documentation, driving efficiency through coaching and KPI monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3–5+ years of leadership in shipping/transportation operations.
• Experience supervising dock/warehouse teams and transportation staff.
• Knowledge of TMS/WMS systems and shipping documentation requirements.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and OSHA safety standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily outbound operations including shipping, routing, dispatch, and truck loading.
• Oversee forklift operators and shipping team members to ensure safe, accurate loading.
• Ensure orders are staged, loaded, and shipped on time to meet customer requirements.
• Coordinate dock activities, shipment schedules, and carrier arrivals/departures.
• Lead and develop team members through coaching, training, and corrective actions.
• Monitor performance, productivity, and safety compliance; address issues.
• Utilize TMS/WMS (D365 preferred) to manage shipments and resolve issues.
• Ensure shipping documents (BOLs, packing lists) are accurate and compliant.
• Optimize load planning, cube utilization, and routing to reduce costs.
• Partner with warehouse, inventory, customer service, and transportation providers.
• Monitor dock throughput and KPIs; report results to leadership.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce errors and improve service.
