Job summary

Taylor Corporation is seeking a Shipping Clerk for the 2nd shift to prepare, package, and process customer orders for shipment with accuracy and timeliness. You will use parcel and LTL carriers and shipping software to generate labels and documents.

Responsibilities include verifying orders, coordinating shipments, keeping the workspace safe, and maintaining records of shipments. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and ability to learn shipping software.
• Experience using UPS and FedEx shipping software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review completed orders for accuracy and quality before shipment.
• Check in orders and verify items against shipping documentation.
• Assemble, package, and prepare orders for shipment using parcel and LTL carriers.
• Use computer-based shipping systems to generate shipping labels, documents, and reports.
• Record shipment information, including weights, shipping charges, and space availability.
• Coordinate and organize outgoing shipments to meet shipping deadlines.
• Maintain shipping equipment and keep the work area clean, safe, and organized.
• Follow all established safety procedures and shipping requirements.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
