Job summary

Jones Dairy Farm, a long-standing family business in Fort Atkinson, WI, is seeking 2nd shift Shipping Room Helpers to support our growing operation. You will handle the movement of goods, prepare shipments, and ensure accurate labeling and documentation to support on-time deliveries.

Responsibilities include inspecting deliveries for damage, packing and listing items, updating shipment records, and maintaining logs while following all food safety, GMP, and workplace safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Able to work in freezer/cooler environments.
• Accurate documentation and counting skills.
• Reliable, team-oriented, and able to follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies.
• Package items, attach labels and documentation.
• Prepare shipping/receiving reports and track shipments.
• Follow safety and GMP guidelines.
• Complete routine paperwork.
• Process orders, register deliveries, distribute packages.
• Organize, stock, count inventory, and maintain logs.
• Assist with shipping issues.

Jones Dairy Farm, a family owned and operated business for over 135 years, is searching for 2 nd Shift – Shipping Room Helper employees to help satisfy our growing needs. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated and loyal individuals that take pride in the quality of work they produce.

Position Summary:

Shipping employees are responsible for accurate, timely, and compliant movement of goods, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect incoming deliveries for damage, discrepancies, or missing items, and report issues promptly
• Retrieve items from storage, package them securely, and attach correct labels and/or documentation
• Prepare shipping and receiving reports, update shipment tracking data, and report irregularities or delays to supervisors
• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and environmental regulations
• Completion of routine paperwork
• Obtain and process product orders, register deliveries, and distribute packages
• Organize, clean, and stock; count inventory; and maintain accurate shipping/receiving logs
• Assist with troubleshooting shipping issues

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs., stand, walk, twist, push, pull, bend and tolerate repetitive movements
• Ability to work in a freezer/cooler environment (-0 to 32+ degrees)
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Basic level of reading, writing, counting, and label-checking skills
• Perform daily tasks while following all food safety, GMP, and workplace safety guidelines.
• Maintain strong organizational and time management skills
• Communicating effectively with team members

Technology/Equipment:

• WMS/SAGE software
• Hand-held scanners and tablets
• Operate standing and sitting forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment safely
