Job summary

Taylor Company is seeking an assembler/solderer for the Rockton, Illinois area. The role involves assembling and soldering components for shell and mix can assemblies in a production setting.

Core hours are non-negotiable with a shift schedule including evenings; initial training may occur on first shift with transition to 2nd shift and a $2 shift premium upon transition. A background in fabrication and soldering is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Three months commercial, vocational, or other specialized training beyond high school.
• Experience: One year related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints, picklists, and production orders and retrieves parts.
• Cuts and bends copper tubing.
• Cleans and grinds work pieces prior to soldering for proper bonding.
• Heats soldering iron and uses acid to clean solder bond.
• Installs parts in fixtures and jigs.
• Assembles shells, mix tanks, and refrigeration lines per blueprints.
