Job summary

ETS Staffing is seeking a Sheet Metal Fabricator in Vermont for a 2nd shift, in-person role. You will read basic CAD drawings, select and cut sheet metal to precise specs, deburr and finish parts, and assemble ductwork segments with fixtures.

Basic tack-welding supports specialized welders, and quality checks ensure tolerance compliance. You will operate shop tools, maintain safety standards, and contribute to a fast-paced, quality-driven shop environment with opportunities to learn welding and

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure to 1/32 inch.
• Willingness to operate a forklift after training.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Basic understanding of welding with a desire to learn more.
• Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment and assist in various shop areas as needed.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret basic CAD drawings and manufacturing instructions for custom ductwork assemblies.
• Select, measure, and cut sheet metal using shop tools to precise specifications.
• Prepare and clean metal components by deburring, grinding, and sanding for downstream processes.
• Assemble and align sheet metal segments and damper components using hand tools and fixtures.
• Perform basic tack-welding to secure sub-assemblies for specialized welders.
• Conduct quality inspections using measuring tools to ensure dimensional accuracy and tolerance.
