Q Products and Services, part of the Lanco Group of Companies, is expanding with a 2nd shift opening for a Sewer in Hazel Crest, IL. You will prepare sewing machines, sew fabrics, inspect materials, and ensure products meet quality standards on a 3:00 PM–11:30 PM shift.

The role requires 1–3 years of sewing experience, strong attention to detail, good math skills, and effective communication. Production environment with benefits and equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of sewing experience.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math including fractions.
• Ability to recognize colors in a normal spectrum.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sewing machines by changing needles, thread, attachments, and placing spools on spindles.
• Sew materials under the machine needle according to instructions and patterns.
• Monitor machine operation and adjust settings to maintain quality.
• Inspect materials for flaws before sewing.
• Check finished products for quality and specifications.
• Complete preventative maintenance and request repairs as needed.
• Follow safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
