Job summary

Q Products and Services, part of the Lanco Group, is hiring for a Sewer on the 2nd shift (3:00 PM–11:30 PM) in Hazel Crest, IL. The role operates sewing machines to assemble textile products, preparing machines, following patterns, inspecting quality, and assisting with basic maintenance.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years sewing experience, strong attention to detail, good communication, basic math, and color vision.

Qualifications

• Sewing experience preferred (1–3 years).
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills including fractions.
• Ability to distinguish colors in a normal spectrum.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sewing machines by changing needles, thread, and attachments.
• Sew materials under the machine needle following patterns and specs.
• Monitor machine operation and adjust settings for quality and efficiency.
• Inspect materials for flaws before sewing; check finished products.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks and report issues.
• Follow safety, health, and environmental policies to maintain a safe workplace.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
