Job summary

RTX in Goleta, CA seeks a 2nd shift Semiconductor Equipment Repair and Maintenance Engineer to implement inspection, calibration and maintenance procedures on semiconductor lithography equipment, with occasional support at the Lompoc site.

This onsite role requires reading schematics, diagnosing failures with basic test equipment, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to minimize disruptions, while keeping detailed maintenance records for quality assurance.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent experience with at least 2 years in equipment repair or maintenance.
• Equipment repair and/or maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Communicate technical documentation effectively, written and verbal.
• Read engineering schematics and technical drawings.
• Identify failures using basic electronic test equipment and hand/power tools.
• Work in a clean room environment; able to lift 28 lbs.
• Adhere to EH&S programs including electrical and gas safety, hazardous materials handling, PPE.
• Perform diagnostics, repair and maintenance on semiconductor lithography equipment and associated systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional groups to communicate equipment status.
• Provide engineering solutions and recommendations on equipment failures.
