Shirley Ryan AbilityLab is looking for a Shift Sergeant, Security to supervise Public Safety Officers on the 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:30pm) and support investigations of incidents within the hospital campus. The role emphasizes protecting people and property while upholding the institute's values and core commitments.

You will foster teamwork, demonstrate excellent customer service, and apply knowledge of city/state safety laws as you ensure a safe environment for patients, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 20 Hour Security Training Certificate and PERC Card required.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• SupervisesPublic Safety Officers on assigned shift and prepares shift schedules.
• Patrols hospital and ensures service standards are met; initiates corrective action as needed.
• Reviews incident reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Monitors performance and conducts officer evaluations.
• Assists in investigations of accidents and suspected crimes; reports findings.
