Job summary

Merakey is seeking a Security Officer to support campus safety and visitation management. This role involves coordinating with police, nursing staff, and emergency responders, patrolling buildings, monitoring alarms, and documenting incidents.

The shift-based position requires a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or GED, and prior security experience is preferred. Pay is $17.07 per hour for 2nd shift, with schedule Mon-Fri 2:30pm-11pm.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Experience in security preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review logs at shift start and document updates.
• Direct visitors and staff to required locations.
• Monitor alarm systems and respond to emergencies.
• Escort emergency vehicles and assist as needed.
• Answer phones and relay information to departments.
• Conduct periodic safety walks of all buildings and grounds.
