Overview

Follow established procedures and work under supervision to perform production, plant services, distribution, and central palletizing duties.

Primary Responsibilities

• Palletize 20-30 lb. finished cases, monitor case counts and ensure case quality.
• Operate tote station, including safe operation of tow motors, and maintain weight and general quality information.
• Provide fill‑in coverage for call‑offs, leaves, vacations, absences, etc. for designated departments.
• When scheduled in the Production Department, fulfill the duties of mixer, scaler/relief, depositor operator, and laminator operator.
• When scheduled in Plant Services, perform job duties associated with that department on weekends and during the week as necessary.
• When scheduled in Distribution, perform job duties associated with that department on a “fill‑in” basis.
• Become trained as a back‑up in other operator positions.
• Perform heavy lifting and follow safety work rules.
• Complete tasks in a safe manner, following all approved procedures and work instructions.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices according to 5S standards.
• Assist with rework functions.
• Use SAP as required.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Follow quality control standards, safety regulations, and good manufacturing practices. Support teamwork.

Read and comprehend simple instructions, write simple correspondence and memoranda. Communicate with respect at all levels of employees.

Physical Demands

Work Environment

Work near moving mechanical parts, exposed to vibration, fumes, airborne particles, hot/cold temperatures, high noise levels, and wet environments. Must comply with all safety regulations, support plant safety initiatives, and use prescribed safety equipment such as safety eyeglasses, safety shields, gloves, earplugs, respirators, and approved footwear. Overtime may be required as necessary to support operations.
