Job summary

ReNEW Schools is seeking a Custodian to keep the school building in a state of operating excellence, preventing interruptions to the educational program. This is a 12-month position; you will work 2nd shift during the school year and day shift in the summers.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to operate or learn custodial equipment. You will perform cleaning, minor repairs, and security tasks while maintaining confidentiality and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate necessary equipment.
• Such additional qualifications as the Board or State of Indiana shall require.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and preserves designated spaces, equipment etc in the building.
• Performs preventive maintenance and minor repair on plumbing, custodial equipment, buildings structures and hardware.
• Performs normal operator adjustments, and service to facility equipment.
• Performs minor electrical maintenance and repairs.
• Assists visiting public utilizing the facilities with directions within the building and in obtaining and setting up needed equipment.
• Shovels snow and cleans sidewalks when necessary.
