Big Spring School District is hiring for a full-time Custodian on the 2nd shift in Newville, PA. The role includes year-round, permanent employment with 8-hour shifts, M-F. Compensation starts with a wage of $17.12 per hour, with PSERS retirement, medical benefits, and paid leave.

Starting wage may reflect prior experience. Duties include cleaning offices, classrooms, restrooms, and common areas, along with securing the building and assisting with snow removal as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or preferably two (2) years in the custodial field.
• Ability to understand and motivate employees who perform cleaning duties.
• Ability to make independent judgments related to custodial services.
• Ability to perform tasks and use materials and equipment to clean and maintain school buildings.

Responsabilités

• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly building.
• Protect health and safety of students and staff; secure the building.
• Notify proper personnel in emergencies and support custodial operations.
• Perform general janitorial duties across offices, classrooms, restrooms, and common areas.
