Job summary

Souderton Area School District EMC Elementary School in Souderton, PA, is hiring a 2nd Shift Custodian beginning December 1, 2026. This 12-month, 8-hour per day role includes full benefits from day one and a salary ranging from $23.09 to $27.17 per hour.

The custodian will maintain classrooms, offices, bathrooms and public areas in a clean and safe condition, support the Building Facilities Manager, and perform scheduled cleaning duties across the campus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; previous school or public building cleaning desirable.
• Must be able to provide services with a positive, customer-oriented attitude.
• Must have the physical stamina to perform an eight-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Observe safe working conditions at all times.
• Dry mop and vacuum floors; move desks and chairs.
• Wet mop floors, wipe down restrooms and fixtures; refill dispensers.
• Disinfect and wipe desks, chairs, and surfaces; clean windows and doors.
• Lock windows and doors; turn off lights in classrooms.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks as assigned by supervisor.
