Job summary

ReNEW Schools is hiring a Custodian for the 2nd shift (8 hours per day) to maintain a safe, clean, attractive school environment. Responsibilities include cleaning classrooms, corridors, restrooms, and grounds, performing maintenance tasks, and ensuring doors and windows are secured.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to plan and organize, and reliable work habits. Candidates should be able to lift up to 100 pounds and work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates aptitude for cleaning, minor mechanical repair, and good work habits.
• Other qualifications as deemed desirable by the School Board.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of School Trustees may find appropriate and approve.

Responsibilities

• Keeps building and premises neat and clean at all times.
• Performs painting duties as required.
• Shovels, plows, and sands walkways, driveways, parking areas, and steps.
• Maintains exit doors and panic bolts for occupancy hours.
• Cleans classrooms daily and dusts furniture.
• Cleans corridors after school and as needed.
