Job summary

Holmen Cheese LLC is seeking dedicated sanitation team members for 2nd shift to ensure our facility remains clean and compliant with food safety standards. Responsibilities include maintaining a sanitary environment, operating sanitation equipment, and assisting with environmental sampling.

The role requires standing for long periods, following GMP and SQF/HACCP guidelines, and the ability to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous sanitation experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility as we stabilize our new operation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and food-safe environment for processing facility.
• Sanitation and breakdown/re-assemble equipment.
• Follow safety and good manufacturing practice guidelines (GMP).
• Assist quality team in environmental sampling.
• Work with chemicals to ensure proper cleaning.
• Stand for up to a 12-hour shift.
• Operate production equipment with training.
• Follow SQF and HACCP standards.
• Ensure a clean work environment.
• Climb ladders and move around facilities.

Holmen Cheese has an exceptional opportunity to join our Sanitation Team on 2nd shift. We are looking for dedicated, hardworking team members to ensure our facility meets the sanitation requirements for our food production facility.

We are offering higher starting wage and employees receive an extra $1.50/hr for working 2nd shift.

Requirements

What we will need you to do:

• Understand and follow oral and written instructions
• Responsible for all activities involved in maintaining the cleanliness and food-safe environment of the processing facility, surrounding area, and equipment.
• Sanitation and break down/re-assemble equipment
• Follow all safety and good manufacturing practice guidelines
• Assist quality team in environmental sampling
• Work with multiple chemicals and mixtures to ensure proper cleaning
• Stand on concrete and/or platforms for up to a 12-hour shift
• Operate production equipment (training provided) as needed
• Follow all food safety standards including SQF and HACCP
• Ensure a clean work environment
• Climb/move on ladders, steps, stairways, walkways and platforms
• Bend, stoop, and twist repetitively over the course of an entire shift
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
• This work is physically demanding and can require the use of some or all body parts and muscle groups. Some positions may require repetitive overhead lifting up to 30 lbs, single lifting of heavy objects which can weigh up to 75 lbs, or lifting of objects using mechanical assistance.
• Additional essential functions may be applicable to specific jobs.
