Job summary

Schwan's Company in Stilwell, Oklahoma is seeking a sanitation technician to operate cleaning and sanitizing processes on production lines and equipment. You will follow safety procedures, document chemical use, and ensure all soil and contaminants are removed per GMP standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED preferred, and 0–1 year of related experience in a food manufacturing environment. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred with 0–1 year of related experience in sanitation, food manufacturing, or a similar industrial environment preferred.
• Basic understanding of facility cleaning procedures and compliance with safety standards (OSHA, GMPs).
• Ability to follow regulatory, customer, and company sanitation policies and procedures.
• Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions, including hot/cold and wet/dry areas.
• Flexible availability to work full-time, overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate steam and high-pressure hoses while safely cleaning and sanitizing equipment, tools, and facility to ensure all soil and contaminates are removed per procedures.
• Operate COP tank cleaning equipment to clean disassembled equipment.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment as directed.
• Follow sanitation schedules to conduct and document routine cleaning of the facility and production line.
• Use and document chemical use to stated concentrations and for appropriate applications.
• Verify and document that correct chemicals and concentrations are used and that cleaning and sanitizing is complete to deliver equipment and infrastructure that is clean and passes all micro indicator tests.
