Job summary

Metalcraft of Mayville, Inc. is seeking a Manual Welder to operate weld machines and fabricate metal parts per specifications. The role requires reading blueprints, following WPS standards, and maintaining quality with gauges and inspection sheets.

The candidate will perform MIG/TIG welding, basic aluminum work, and routine machine maintenance while upholding safety and cleanliness in a production environment.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete an internal welding test.
• Knowledge of fixtures and weld setup parameters (amps, volts, etc.).
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to perform related tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Competent at basic dimensional measuring and learning precision tools.
• Shop math competency and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Follow WPS weld standards.
• Inspect and measure machined parts for conformance to specs.
• Operate and adjust weld machines; unload parts from robotic welder.
• Clamp, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt components for welding.
• Perform basic MIG, TIG and aluminum welding as needed.
• Inspect finished work with gauges and documentation.
• Perform prescribed maintenance on equipment and machines.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety regulations.
• Adhere to corporate and plant safety standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
