Job summary

City of Lincoln is seeking a Residential Support Staff member for full-time 2nd shift (36 hrs per week) to care for individuals with disabilities in a residential setting, including community activities. Base pay is $17.13 per hour.

You will advocate for residents, monitor health, assist with daily living tasks, transport, and participate in community activities while ensuring safety and dignity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to document statistics and prepare correspondence.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and policies.
• Ability to make decisions to ensure welfare and safety.
• Must possess a valid MI Driver's license.
• Must be at least 18 years old and maintain acceptable driving record.
• Physical ability to lift/move individuals as required.
• Ability to work in a residential setting with individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Advocates for individuals served at personal, family, and community levels.
• Observes and documents changes in residents' physical and mental condition.
• Administers first aid and simple nursing procedures as needed.
• Ensures privacy and dignity of residents and reports abuse or neglect.
• Transports individuals to and from community locations using an agency or personal vehicle.
• Administers programs to individuals and documents progress as prescribed.
• Assists in meal preparation, cleaning, small home repairs and light maintenance.
• Provides hospitality to all visitors at the residence.
• Explores opportunities for community participation possibilities for residents.
• Responds to health risks and communicates hazards to the agency hierarchy.
