Job summary

Lakeside Book Company in Plainfield, IN is seeking a Receiving Clerk for the 2nd shift. You will receive product using the WMS, inspect shipments, and identify discrepancies to ensure accuracy.

The role requires warehouse/inventory experience, ability to lift 50 lbs, and strong communication with drivers and warehouse staff. Shift is 3:00pm-11:00pm, Monday–Friday, with overtime on Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, receiving, or inventory experience is required.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and lift 50 lbs.
• Basic understanding of inventory control and warehouse procedures.
• Effective communication skills to work with drivers, carriers, and warehouse personnel.

Responsibilities

• Receive product utilizing WMS while adhering to inventory management requirements.
• Maintain quality standards by inspecting incoming shipments.
• Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrect shipments.
• Follow all safety guidelines – safety shoes required.
