Job summary

Carpenter Co. is seeking an Operator A - Rebond (Floater) on the 2nd shift at our Temple, TX manufacturing plant. The role oversees safe operation of multiple production machines, maintains ingredient accuracy, and delivers products that meet quality standards.

Initial 4–6 weeks of training on 1st shift while the team is onboarded. Responsibilities include calibrating equipment, logging pours, and ensuring material availability to meet daily schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Forklift experience or ability to pass company certification.
• Ability to complete Hazmat Training.
• Strict adherence to safety procedures.
• Ability to pass mandatory annual audiometric and pulmonary tests.
• Ability to speak clearly, listen for clarification, and maintain records/pouring logs.
• High accuracy with focus on productivity and continuous improvement.
• Proactive in reporting unsafe conditions and properly utilizing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Confirm receipt of the daily production schedule from the Department Manager.
• Complete the mandatory pre-pouring checklist daily before starting a production run.
• Calibrate machinery to ensure precise outputs.
• Ensure raw materials and supplies are available to meet the daily schedule.
• Check and verify all machine production codes.
• Maintain constant communication with the Lead Person on pour statuses.
• Keep logs of all manufacturing pours up-to-date and accurate.
• Make real-time machine adjustments to meet exact specifications.
• Conduct daily crane inspections to ensure proper operation.
• Perform other operational duties as assigned by management.
