Job summary

Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry Co Inc in Manitowoc, WI is seeking a 2nd shift Quality Technician to perform chemical and mechanical testing on aluminum alloys and conduct non-destructive X-ray inspections. You will support new product launches with material testing and first-piece inspections, and manage vendor material testing and trend analysis.

The role includes documenting results, accurate record-keeping, and backup NDT support.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality testing or lab testing preferred.
• Knowledge of NDT methods helpful.
• Ability to follow procedures and document results.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical and mechanical testing on aluminum alloys to support production.
• Conduct industrial X-ray and other non-destructive testing (NDT) to identify internal defects.
• Support new product launches through material testing and first-piece inspections.
• Perform and document quality testing on Air Set, Cold Box, Green Sand, and Shell Core sand systems, including physical property and process testing.
• Conduct incoming inspection and testing of vendor materials, accurately record results, and monitor trends to support quality and production.
• Provide backup support for NDT operations, including X-ray and material chemical analysis, as needed.
