Job summary

Hyosung HICO Ltd. in Memphis, TN seeks an Associate Quality Inspector to perform in-process inspections and document nonconformances. You will use inspection tools and test procedures to verify materials, parts, and assemblies meet specifications, while assisting in problem resolution on the production floor.

Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma or GED, basic mechanical drawing literacy, and experience with measuring tools; training on transformers will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; trade/technical training desired.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical/technical drawings.
• Proficient with basic computer data entry and retrieval.
• Knowledge of basic industrial measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process inspections and measure materials for conformance.
• Document nonconformances in NCRs and inspection reports.
• Notify supervisors of production problems and assist in corrections.
• Use inspection tools and equipment and compare results to specs.
• Observe operations and adjust processes to ensure quality.
• Shadow senior inspectors to learn transformer knowledge.
• Adhere to 6S and safety policies.
• Prepare parts/transformers for inspection in a safe environment.
