Job summary

Plexus Corp. in Buffalo Grove, IL is seeking a Quality Inspector on 2nd shift to perform routine inspection procedures, visually inspect sub-assemblies and HLA level products, and use magnifiers or tools.

You will enter standardized information into the GSF system, support root-cause activities, and maintain QA certification within six months. A middle school certificate and knowledge of PCBA manufacturing with SMT are required; 6 months to 1+ years experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Middle school certificate required.
• Knowledge of PCBA manufacturing process (SMT, Backend).
• Six months of related manufacturing experience; one (1) or more years preferred.
• Advanced reading, writing and math skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspection procedures to ensure quality levels at various production stages.
• Visually inspect sub-assemblies and HLA level products using a magnifier or other tools and using lot sampling methods, or 100% inspection.
• Enter standardized information into GSF.
• Supervise work area according with 5s standards.
• Escalate issues to supervisors when needed.
