Job summary

Standex International is seeking a dedicated Inspector for the 2nd shift in New Berlin, WI to verify raw materials, in‑process components and finished products meet requirements. You will use micrometers, calipers, and CMMs, interpret sketches, and document results to support quality and process improvements.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will perform GD&T inspections, maintain PCS records, and participate in audits, while upholding safety and lean practices across SQDC goals.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of related inspection experience or training.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Certified Level I/II nondestructive testing preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
• Reliable transportation and strong teamwork.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Interpret job routing, quality logs, and sketches to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform independent inspections and document nonconforming material.
• Inspect product for surface defects and weld quality.
• Operate inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, CMMs, and scanners.
• Assist with PCS implementation and documentation of inspection results.
• Support SQDC goals through continuous improvement and safety.
• Train others and participate in audits as directed.
