Job summary

Nestlé Health Science in Leonia, NJ, is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to ensure products meet cGMP and GDP standards on the production floor. The role acts as a quality expert, guiding operations and ensuring timely release of products or responses to issues.

Shift is 2nd (2pm-10:30pm) with an initial orientation week on a 6am-2:30pm schedule. Requires 1–3 years in manufacturing QA, strong math, and English proficiency; exposure to SAP/Oracle/AS400/PQM/Captiva is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-3 years of prior experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on quality assurance preferred.
• Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide).
• Ability to follow safety procedures including Nestle’s Life Saving Rules.

Responsibilities

• Performs in-process testing verifications of manufacturing/packaging data to confirm consistency in testing methodology and test data.
• Submits daily Analytical and Micro samples to quality control for appropriate testing.
• Performs Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) inspections as required.
• Conducts approval of pre-start-up activities including line/room clearance and initial equipment checks when required.
• Reviews in-process batch documentation to ensure real-time compliance to product specifications, GDPs, SOPs, and cGMPs.
• Discusses errors directly with line personnel so corrections can be made if required.
• Reviews Production logbooks for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensures all colleagues strictly follow SOPs, GDPs, and cGMPs.
• Performs review and release of batch records/work orders.
• Conducts daily compliance audits and floor walks for all applicable areas.
• Attends and actively participates in cross-functional shift review meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
