Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a 2nd Shift Quality Assurance Lead for our Elkridge, MD and Halethorpe duties. The role involves performing in-process, first article, and final inspections on electromechanical LRUs, and interfacing with manufacturing and engineering to resolve issues.

You will also support RCCA, ISO audits, and end-item submittals. The position requires a minimum of 6 years related experience with a high school diploma or equivalent, and SAP and electromechanical assembly

Qualifications

• 6 years of experience with high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years inspection experience.
• SAP experience.
• Quality inspection and electromechanical assembly experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process, sampling, First Article Inspections, and final inspection on electromechanical LRUs and systems.
• Visually inspect for electrical assembly specifications and standards.
• Inspect sub-assemblies and systems using tooling and check lists.
• Interface with manufacturing operations and engineering to improve processes and documentation.
• Support visual and dimensional checks for RCCA-related defects.
• Review metrics, procedures and techniques for inspection to aid continuous improvement.
• Perform ISO Audits as required for site compliance.
• Submit contract end item products per PrOP & QAD.
• Interface with customer and government (DCMA) for required inspections and final pack/shipping.
• Act as a Quality Process Control Aide in an AS-9100 environment.

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a 2nd Shift Quality Assurance Lead to join our team in Elkridge, MD at our Troy Hill facility. The successful candidate must have the ability and willingness to work at both the Elkridge and Halethorpe sites, including driving between sites on some days.

What You'll Get To Do

• Perform in-process, sampling, First Article Inspections, and final inspection on a variety of complete electromechanical LRUs and systems.
• Visually inspect for appropriate electrical assembly specifications and standards.
• Perform inspections using tooling and check lists to complete inspection of sub-assemblies and systems.
• Interface with manufacturing operations and engineering personnel to improve processes and documentation issues.
• Support visual and dimensional checks for piece/part conditions that contribute to, or cause, defects for RCCA's.
• Review metrics, procedures, and techniques used to inspect materials, parts, units, and/or systems at inspection to facilitate continuous improvement.
• Perform ISO Audits as required by audit coordinator for site compliance efforts.
• Submit contract end item product as required per PrOP & QAD.
• Interface with customer and government (DCMA) for required in-process inspections through final inspection as well as contract end item submittals and final pack and shipping process.
• Perform as a Quality Process Control Aide in an AS-9100 process-oriented organization.
