Scope of Role

The Quality Auditor is responsible for testing, inspecting, and auditing products at different stages of production, from incoming inspection to finished goods.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate inspection equipment such as CMM, GMM, profilometer, height gauge, and visual comparators.
  • Visually inspect and measure gear products, including open gear, speed reducers, and gearboxes.
  • Tag rejected products and record necessary information for rework.
  • Inspect incoming materials against engineering drawings and record results.
  • Report on rejected parts and ensure proper documentation.
  • Calibrate and troubleshoot gauges and measuring instruments.
  • Perform product and process audits as needed.
  • Maintain records and reports of daily work activities.
  • Evaluate and analyze returned goods, reporting technical findings.
  • Communicate findings in writing to relevant departments.
  • Assist production staff with quality assurance and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct first-piece/first-article inspections and PPAP activities.
  • Read and interpret product drawings and specifications.
  • Support data analysis and problem-solving initiatives.
Critical Competencies

Must be a 'U.S. Person' due to export control laws. Key skills include:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficiency with measurement instruments and tools.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations.
  • Knowledge of CMM & GMM programming (preferred).
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 and auditing (preferred).
  • Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
  • Critical thinking and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Safety-conscious and dependable.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including overtime and weekends.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

Involves walking, standing, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working in a manufacturing setting with safety gear. Environmental factors include noise, dust, heat, and other conditions. Accommodations available for disabilities.
