Job summary

SATO America, LLC is hiring a QA Technician for the 2nd shift in Romeoville, IL. You will perform inspections at incoming, in-process and final stages, conduct various tests, and ensure products meet engineering and internal specs.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain to uphold quality standards. The position requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience with inspection tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work safely on the production floor while wearing required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final product inspections.
• Conduct visual, dimensional, mechanical, and performance testing.
• Verify products meet customer, engineering, and internal specifications.
• Document inspection findings and communicate quality concerns.
• Assist with troubleshooting quality issues and root cause investigations.
• Operate and maintain inspection and laboratory equipment.
• Support calibration, maintenance, and validation of testing equipment.
• Review Certificates of Conformance (COCs), Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and supplier documentation.
• Participate in corrective actions, preventive actions, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Support ISO 9001 quality system compliance and audit readiness.
• Partner closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to drive operational excellence.
